dreamworld is a thrill seekers park and thats great, but i wouldn't take little kids there. but i do think that our sea world on the gold coast is ten times better then san diego sea world. I also have been to the states quite a few times and i must say that our parks are just plain terrible in comparision to the american parks. If you have visited any of the Disney Parks or Studio Tours in other countries, DO NOT visit Movie World. The Police Academy Stunt show hadn't changed one little bit in over 11 years. The staff all seemed bored and not as welcoming and upbeat as you'd expect from a theme park. There aren't even a lot of characters walking about for the younger children either.
The Shrek experience is quite good but if that's the highlight of the day, then it's a bit of a wasted day. The focus seems to be only on major "rides" and if you don't do the major "rides" then the day is a bit of a wash out. They have completely taken away the movie studio tour (which for me, was the best part). If possible, it seems much smaller than before. We had always enjoyed our days out there previously. We recently returned to the Gold Coast and were so excited about re-visiting Movie World.
